A great addition to any meal. 


  • 1 package Simply Homemade® Ancient Grains Bread Mix
  • 2/3 cup very warm tap water (120° to 130°F)
  • 1 egg


Combine mix and yeast in a mixing bowl.  Add warm water and egg. Stir until combined.  Dough will be dry.  In the same bowl, use your hands to flatten the dough, then fold in half.  Continue to flatten and fold a total of 10 to 20 times. 

Place dough on a clean surface. Shape dough into a log, about 9 inches long. Cut log into 9 equal pieces. (Tip: cut log into thirds, then cut each into thirds again.) Roll each piece of dough into a ball and place in a greased, 8-inch round cake pan or an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Cover rolls and let rise in warm place for about 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.

 Bake for 16 to 19 minutes in a preheated 400°F oven.


Recipe Tip:  For a deeper golden color, brush the rolls with milk or melted butter before placing in the oven.
